So I am super excited to participating in my very first Armchair BEA! So for the first official day of the event we are doing Introductions… I look forward to meeting so many other amazing bloggers! Thanks for stopping by to meet me at Paperbook Princess!
- Please tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you? How long have you been blogging? Why did you get into blogging?
My Name is Megan I’m 26 years old and I hale from Toronto, Ontario… I am a very new blogger, I only started my blog in March but it is something I have always wanted to do just never thought I would be very good at it. I started blogging simply because I love reading, and I wanted to be able to share my love with as many people as I can!
- Tell us one non-book-related thing that everyone reading your blog may not know about you.
I come from a hockey family (I do live in Canada), and my
baby brother (ok so he is 20 years old now) was drafted into the NHL 2 years
ago by the LA Kings, so hopefully someday we will get to see him wearing black
and white.
- What is your favorite feature on your blog (i.e. author interviews, memes, something specific to your blog)?
I love everything about my blog! But I think it I had to
choose I absolutely LOVE when I get character interviews from such amazing
authors! I personally wouldn’t be able to write a book, never mind make up a
whole interview with one of the characters!
- Where do you see your blog in five years?
In five years I would love to see my blog almost the same as
it is now, just with a lot more posts, and more followers… I don’t want to make
it into something so big I can’t handle it because I don’t want to take
anything away from what I have started.
- Have your reading tastes changed since you started blogging? How?
Well because I havnt been blogging for that long, my tastes
havnt really changed too much. But I do find that before I started blogging I would
hop from reading a YA book to reading a totally smutty adult book… and now
because my blog features YA books (because that is what I mainly read) and I kind
of miss my smutty romance novels, but I always have so many books on my TBR
list that I want to read so I can post them on my blog that I just cant find
the time for any adult books.

Hi Megan,
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to meet you. That's neat about your brother! Good luck with your blogging!

Hey Megan! Your wedding photo is gorgeous! I love your veil. Also, don't feel too bad about calling your brother "baby." My little brother is about to turn 19, and I still can't help but thinking of him as still being a little kid!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to blogging. Loved Toronto and hockey. I still have to mix in my adult reads or I go into YA overload and don't enjoy the books.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the blogging world. Since you've already visited my Introductions First post for Armchair BEA, I'll leave you the link to my review of Paper Bag Princess, which I have a feeling you must have liked as a chilc:

Hi Megan! Welcome to blogging. :)
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your "in five years" answer! I don't want my blog to get to be too much...but I do hope in that span I can catch up on some of these books on my TBR pile. ;)
Congrats to your brother! There was a time in high school when I was totally obsessed with hockey. I think it was the violence. Maybe I shouldn't admit that...
ReplyDeleteI love the way the cursor makes sparkles on your blog. That's so cute :-)
And I started my blog in March too! Yay for newbies!
My Armchair BEA Intro Post.
Welcome to blogging! I too enjoy a nice smutty book! :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Armchair BEA post for today!
I know what you mean about the smutty romance read and then YA. I used to read a lot more adult books than I have since I started blogging YA. But now since I want to make sure I post a certain number of review per week there's just no time of non-YA.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous in your photo :)
I'm from northern MN so I adore hockey, but haven't watched a NHL game since MN sold The Northstars to Dallas.
ReplyDeleteHi, I love your blog. I've been doing this about 6 months, and it is so much fun. Cool brother - do you get to go to many games?
ReplyDeleteHi Megan! You look beautiful in your photo. :) I'm not much of a sports person but I think it's super cool about your brother. Nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteYAY! another Canadian blogger!! Thats so awesome with your brother being drafted!! It was great to meet you!

Welcome to the blogosphere, Megan! I love finding new bloggers. Wiie! :D Last year I wasn't much older then you when participating, and it was a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI miss some of my more smutty books too, but I try to fit them in when I can if I'm dying to read one, just because I'm a huge mood-reader!
Thanks for stopping by! :D
Hi Megan! Love the picture!
ReplyDeleteand hockey *woot! woot!* how very cool your brother was drafted! y'all must be so proud!
The Thrashers left us a couple of years ago to move to your part of the continent but we still have our minor league!
welcome to book blogging and happy armchair bea week!
LOL about the smutty books! I used to read more romance than I do, now, but that was mostly because I was hanging out with romance writers. I probably ought to go back to that life. It was fun.
ReplyDeleteFor a new blogger, you already have a lot of followers! Glad you're having fun with it! Love your pic. And, congrats to your brother.
Welcome Megan to the book bloggin world. I like your answer about not wanting much to change on your blog, that you don't want to make It so big that you can't handle it - good plans. Keep it fun for yourself, and the driving force you and not what you think others expect.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is traveling to Toronto next week with my parents to check out a university she has on her list of schools that interest her. She wants to attend a university in Canada due to her high interest in linguistics especially French. we are from the Chicago area.
hello, Megan, and nice to meet you (and welcome to the blogging world! it's so fantastic!)
ReplyDeletealso, you can still read smutty books! I do. all the time! ;D hee, I love them.
Hey Megan!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I found you! I've been blogging almost two years, and it's a lot of fun! I'm a published author now (YA Fantasy) and I'll be in TO July 4th to 9th so we should meet up then! :) And I came from a hockey family too, my brother played hockey for a number of years. :)
Nice to meet you!
